Performance Management

 

Do you need to know how to complete your employee performance and development plan?  Our learning programs help you understand the links between you and your organization’s performance.  The program will also teach you how to write work and competency goals and to set up a learning plan.

Workplace Skills

The Workplace Skills program offers courses that make the workplace better for everyone – managers, employees and working teams.  These programs are intended to enhance three core areas: teamwork and cooperation; service orientation; and, results orientation. 

 

Career Development

Courses offered in the career development area will help you gain the skills needed to successfully plan, develop, implement and evaluate your career objectives. Available in the classroom or on-line, these courses will engage you in self-exploration and personal management as well as career building with a future focus.

There are four corporate innovation, excellence and recognition programs that can be used to recognize employee achievements, the:

  • Premier's Innovation and Excellence Awards

  • Employee Recognition Program

  • Staff Appreciation Awards

  • Long Service Awards Program 

Business Management

Are you interested in honing your skills in business management?  We offer programs that are designed with the public service business environment in mind.  Three broad learning areas include project management, risk management and financial management.

Project Management – this program enhances your skills and abilities and provides practical tools you can use for managing your projects.

Risk Management – these programs teach a structured seven-step methodology, common language, and give you new templates and tools to use on the job.

Financial Management - we offer the Financial Management Certificate program and also have courses that teach you how to:

  • apply accounting and financial administration policies and practices

  • use government financial control and reporting systems,

  • create ministry service and risk management plans,

  • renew your financial and program management functions, and

  • manage procurement and government contracts

Technical Skill Development

We also offer a variety of learning programs targeted to building specific skills sets such as information technology and occupational health and safety. 

We offer end user training such as:

  • Word XP

  • Excel XP

  • PowerPoint XP

  • Microsoft Outlook XP

We also offer IS Professional training.  Some examples are:

Occupational Health and Safety

Are you a safety representative for your work area?  The occupational health and safety training is designed to develop your skills and assist you in carrying out your safety responsibilities.
